This role is categorized as on-site. The successful candidate is expected to report to the Advanced Technical Center full time.
The Role -
As business with our joint ventures expands, the complexity of engineering release, data permissions, and cross-regional collaboration is increasing. A dedicated Process and Lead role is needed to act as the single process interface with JVs and Global, leading the design and continuous improvement of engineering release and service-part-related processes to ensure consistency and compliance. This position also allows JVs to proactively build critical process-management capabilities to support future growth and reduce process and quality risks.
What You’ll Do
- Bridge between Global and JVs
- Serve as the primary interface between global System Business Owners and JV Single Point Contacts for all process and system topics.
- Ensure alignment on requirements, priorities, and timing across regions and functions.
- Leadership & Technical Advisory
- Lead and provide direction to a cross-functional team in a technical advisory capacity.
- Define team deliverables, set timelines, and monitor execution quality to meet program milestones.
- Process, System & Integration Management
- Identify and document end-to-end process, system, and integration requirements to enable program execution.
- Analyze current-state processes, identify gaps or risks, and develop mitigation and improvement plans.
- Drive implementation of approved changes and track action closure to ensure sustainable results.
- Business Requirements & Stakeholder Management
- Lead the collection and consolidation of business requirements from program execution teams.
- Act as the single voice representing program needs to other organizations (e.g., Global Engineering, IT, Quality, Manufacturing, Service).
- Develop and execute communication plans to ensure transparency and alignment around decisions, action plans, and status.
- GPDS and Service-Related Change Management (SGMW Export Programs)
- Own and maintain GPDS specifications for production and service-only parts for SGMW export programs.
- Ensure correct implementation of service-related ECRs (including NPNs), with proper effective dates and stock/service dispositions in line with GRC requirements.
- Partner with relevant stakeholders to secure approvals, coordinate cut-in timing, and validate data integrity in supporting systems.
- Continuous Improvement & Governance
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives for engineering release and service-part processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and compliance.
- Establish and monitor key process metrics (e.g., change lead time, implementation quality, data accuracy).
- Develop and maintain process documentation, standard work, and training materials for JVs and internal stakeholders.
- Risk & Issue Management
- Proactively identify process and system-related risks impacting program delivery, quality, or compliance.
- Coordinate cross-functional problem solving, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Escalate critical issues with clear impact assessment and recommended options.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering , Information Systems , Business Administration , or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Significant experience in engineering operations, process management, or systems integration within the automotive or related industry.
- Proven experience working with product development and release processes (e.g., GPDS) and engineering change management (ECRs, NPNs).
- Strong understanding of data, system, and integration requirements across engineering, manufacturing, and service domains.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority in a complex, global, and matrixed environment.
- Excellent stakeholder management , communication, and influencing skills across cultures and time zones.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of identifying process gaps and successfully implementing improvement actions.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
This role is categorized as onsite. This means the selected candidate is expected to report to a specific location on a full-time basis.
This job is not eligible for relocation benefits. Any relocation costs would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
