Description
The Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for the development of Manufacturing Processes, Continuous Improvement and Troubleshooting in the assigned work area. The work is of a technical nature where a high level of independent judgment is used and a considerable amount of creativity and initiative is exercised in order to make decisions. You will lead and direct a small size group of employees engaged in specialized and/or varied engineering tasks.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities) :
- Responsible for managing a team of engineers, supporting them across all three shifts in the department.
- Lead Engineering Team daily activity
- Process planning / implementing process changes
- Lead Automation Projects in assigned area
- Continuous improvement – Improve SPQRCE
- Responsible for layout planning and organization
- Specify equipment, gauging and tooling and co-ordinate procurement
- Production support – Interact with manufacturing group and provide technical support where needed
- New product / product change implementation – coordinate with Product Engineering and Launch Team
- Perform other ad hoc duties & responsibilities as necessary
Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):
- Bachelors Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or computer science
- 5+ years of manufacturing engineering execution experience
- 2+ years of factory focus engineering experience
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team of engineers
- Ability to work within a team environment and automatously
- High level of problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult.
- Oral and written communications skills.
- High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
- Thorough knowledge of tooling and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledgeable of high/low voltage equipment/machinery.
- Ability to work off-shift or weekends as needed

- Masters Degree in Engineering
- Previous direct leadership experience in a technical or engineering environment
