Description
The Role
Responsible for local/regional supply chain operations, including—but not limited to—the processing of ECRs, contract management, parts availability, quality and launch support, as well as the achievement of cost and performance objectives. The incumbent will also support regional budget execution and be responsible for new business allocation activities of low complexity. The role involves a series of activities in which decisions are made based on general policies, procedures, and/or specifications. Work is performed independently under general direction.
What You’ll Do
• Achieve multi-year objectives (Regional Business Plan, supplier status, goal-posting / benchmarking initiatives).
• Manage supplier relationships.
• Lead the allocation of new business of low complexity:
Develop purchasing strategies.
Request quotes and conduct bid analyses.
Negotiate and resolve commercial issues.
Lead the development of presentations for new business opportunities.
• Resolve business-inherent issues (price increases, PNOCs, critical capacity constraints).
• Support technical and commercial activities (BTAB activities, cost-reduction workshops, supply chain initiatives).
• Organize TKO meetings and monthly program reviews.
• Process ECRs and manage contracts.
Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Enginering, Finance, related field, or equivalent work experience
• 2+ years relevant post-graduate work experience in purchasing, supply chain, program/product management, logistics or product development

• Ability to travel
What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
• Experience with commodities
• Cost analysis or manufacturing experience
• Automotive industry experience
• Knowledge of Capacity and Materials Management
• Capable of drawing conclusions from complex data, market trends and the regulatory environment
• Ability to understand basic engineering documents and technical drivers for the applicable commodities
• Knowledge of contract law as it applies to the purchasing processes
Hybrid: This position requires to work 3 days on site 2 days at home remote on a full-time basis.
