The Role:
The Material Flow Coordinator is responsible for supporting day-to-day inventory accuracy, material flow, count processing, engineering change communication, and issue resolution to ensure uninterrupted plant operations. This role works closely with production, warehouse, quality, suppliers, and third-party partners to maintain material accuracy and support delivery to point of use. This role is a key point of contact for count accuracy, material discrepancies, claims, overflow management, shipping support, and continuous improvement related to plant material flow processes.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

Review and respond to daily email and Teams communication related to material flow issues.

Process and resolve inventory violations, count discrepancies, and adjustment activity for bulk, small lot, sequence, and related material areas.

Analyze negative balance reports, damaged material, non-conformance, and variance issues to maintain inventory accuracy.

Coordinate scrap processing, rework activity, transportation claims, and emergency shipment support.

Support engineering change communication, PFEP follow-up, and other material readiness activities.

Perform or support cycle counts, audits, label checks, and other inventory control routines.

Monitor critical parts, overflow, shipping requests, and supplier follow-up to protect production requirements.

Participate in daily and weekly operational meetings and help drive issue resolution with plant and warehouse partners.

Maintain organized work processes and support continuous improvement in safety, quality, responsiveness, and cost.
Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent plant materials experience.

2 years of experience in materials, inventory control, warehouse operations, production support, or logistics coordination.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage inventory and count accuracy.
-
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and follow-up skills.
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn and use plant systems such as MGO and GEPICS.
-
May require flexibility to support urgent material issues, audits, shipping activity, and count accuracy needs across shifts.

Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
-
Ability to be shift flexible.
-
Ability to work overtime as needed.
What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
-
2+ years of experience in materials, inventory control, warehouse operations, production support, or logistics coordination.
-
Experience supporting material flow in a manufacturing plant environment.
-
Familiarity with cycle counts, claims, scrap, overflow, min violations, shipping requests, or inventory adjustment processes.

Knowledge of GM material systems, engineering change communication, and PFEP or inventory management tools.

Ability to work effectively with production, quality, warehouse teams, and suppliers in a fast-paced environment.
